Vessel (mug). The Rogozen treasure – found in 1985 – 1986. It dates from IV c. BC. It is made of silver with gilt. Its height is 2 cm and its diameter is 13,6 cm. In the inner side of the vessel are depicted two figures – of Herakal and the princess of the kingdom Tegeya – Avge. The scene is inspired of the Ancient Greek methodology – the hero seduces the priestess and that way the prophecy of the orakul of Delphi becomes true. The decoration of the vessel is marked by the Early Neolithic art. The vessel is a masterpiece of the ancient toreutics. The vessel was a gift or a war trophy for the native Thracian rulers.

Vratsa, Musée régional d’histoire
Chef d’œuvre de la toreutique thrace locale. Le fond de cette phiale est orné de deux personnages sculptés en haut relief – Héraclès et Augé, princesse de Tégée et prêtresse du temple d’Athéna. Il s’agit d’une scène empruntée à la mythologie grecque – le héros séduit la prêtresse, réalisant ainsi la prophétie de l’oracle de Delphe. Le style de la décoration se rapproche du répertoire stylistique des ateliers grecs.

Отвътре на съда във висок релеф са представени две фигури – на Херакъл и принцесата от царство Тегея – Авге, която е жрица на храма на Атина. Изобразена е сцена, взаимствана от старогръцката митология – героят прелъстява жрицата и така се сбъдва пророчеството на оракула в Делфи. Украсата на съда носи белезите на ранноелинистическото изкуство. Съдът е шедьовър на античната торевтика. Той е станал притежание на местните тракийски владетели като дар или военна плячка.
