The first ever made monument of Hristo Botev
Това е първият паметник на Христо Ботев в България, но и първият архитектурно-скуптурен комплекс на национален герой след Освобождението. Издигнат е през 1890 г. на централния площад в града и е дело на австрийския скулптор Густав Еберлайн. Скулптурата е в естествен ръст, върху постамент, а в основата на паметника е имало чешма. Паметникът е бил ограден с метална ограда, в четирите ъгъла със скулптурни орнаменти на побити на кол бунтовнически глави.
На откриването (27 май 1890 г.) присъстват българският княз Фердинанд, министър-председателят Стефан Стамболов, както и майката, съпругата и дъщерята на Христо Ботев. Паметникът е демонтиран през 1955 г. и в момента се съхранява в РИМ-Враца.
През 1964 г. е издигнат новият паметник, който стои и до днес.
C’est pas seulement le premier monument de Christo Botev, mais aussi le premier complex sculpturel d’un héros national après la Libération. Il est construit en 1890 par le sculpteur autrichien Gustav Eberlaïn. La sculpture est posée sur un piédestale, au fond duquel il y avait une fontaine. Autour du monument il y avait une clôture de fer, aux quatres côtés de laquelle étaient disposés les sculptures des têtes décapitées des révolutionnaires.
Le prince bulgare Ferdinand, le premier ministre Stefan Stambolov, la mère de Botev, son épouse et sa fille ont pris part de l’inauguration (le 27 mai 1890).
Le monument a été démonté en 1955 et, jusqu’à ce moment, est conservé dans le musée regional de Vratza. Un autre monument du héros national est monté à la place centrale de Vratza en 1964.
This is the first monument of Hristo Botev in Bulgaria, but also the first architectural and sculptural complex of a national hero after the Liberation. It was built in 1890 on the central square of the city and is the work of the Austrian sculptor Gustav Eberlein. The sculpture is in natural growth, on a pedestal, and at the base of the monument there was a fountain. The monument was surrounded by a metal fence, in the four corners with sculptural ornaments of decapitated heads of the revolutionaries.
The opening (May 27, 1890) was attended by the Bulgarian Prince Ferdinand, the Prime Minister Stefan Stambolov, as well as the mother, wife and daughter of Hristo Botev. The monument was dismantled in 1955 and is currently stored in RIM-Vratsa.
In 1964 the new monument was erected, which still stands today.
