Напрестолен кръст
Най-популярното произведение на майсторите от школата, изработено в Бистрешкия манастир, е сребърен кръст с позлата и цветни камъни от 1611 г. Престолният кръст понастоящем се съхранява в РИМ-Враца и е част от т.н. „старобългарско изкуство“.
Горната част представлява обков на дървен миниатюрен кръст с дърворезба. Върху страничните рамене са монтирани малки лети ажурни кулички, завършващи с църковни кубета. Под двете странични рамене са прикрепени два лъва. Кръстът е закрепен върху малка сфера, украсена с растителни мотиви и конусовидна дръжка с виещ се кован надпис. Основата има форма на пресечен конус с ковани и гравирани растителни мотиви. Кръстът е изработен от сребро с позлата и множество цветни камъни и е с размери – 57x50x20,3 см. В РИМ-Враца е изложен от м. юни 2010 г.
Традицията за производство на кръстове – енколпиони или палестински кръстове (в средата на които се е поставяло късче дърво от „светия кръст” или от „мощи” на светец), основана от златарите в манастира „Св. Йоан Пусти”, е продължила във Враца дълго време.
Croix au-dessue du trône
C’est l’œuvre le plus populaire des maîtres du monastère à Bistretz. Il représente un croix d’argent doré, élaboré en 1611. Il fait partie de l’ancien art bulgare.
La partie supérieure représente un bordage d’un mini-croix avec une sculpture de bois. Sur ses épaules on peut voir de petitеs tourelles, achevées par des dômes. Sous ces épaules sont disposés deux lions. Le croix est posé sur une petite sphère, incrustée de détailles végétales. Il y a aussi une inscription forgée sur la poignée.
C’est depuis longtemps qu’à la ville de Vratza est développée la production de croix palestiniens, au milieu desquels est posée une partie du „croix saint“ ou des reliques.
Les dimensions du croix sont 57x50x20,3 cm.
The most popular work of the masters of the school, made in the Bistreski Monastery, is a silver cross with gilding and colored stones from 1611. The throne cross is currently stored in the Regional historical museum of Vratsa and is part of the so-called “Old Bulgarian art”.
The upper part is a fitting of a wooden miniature cross with wood carving. On the side shoulders are mounted small cast openwork towers, ending with church domes. Two lions are attached under the two side shoulders. The cross is mounted on a small sphere decorated with plant motifs and a conical handle with a winding wrought inscription. The base has the shape of a truncated cone with forged and engraved plant motifs. The cross is made of silver with gilding and many colored stones and measures 57x50x20.3 cm. It has been exhibited in the Regional historical museum of Vratsa since June 2010.
The tradition of making crosses – encolpions or Palestinian crosses (in the middle of which was placed a piece of wood from the “holy cross” or from the “relics” of a saint), founded by goldsmiths in the monastery “St. Joan Pusti ”, continued in Vratsa for a long time.
