The Bukyovtsi treasure
Букьовското съкровище датира от края на V-ти и началото на IV-ти в. пр.н.е. Намерено е случайно на два дяла – през 1925 и 1935 г. в могилен гроб в м. „Гладно поле“. Състои се от две сребърни фиали (плитки, широки чаши с умбо в центъра) с релефна украса, гобеле от сребро с гравирани и позлатени лотосови цветове, сребърен накит, съставен от пет фибули и плетен кордон, украсен с човешки глави, розети и палмети, три сребърни канички с канелюри и сребърни украси от конска амуниция.
The Bukyovtsi treasure can be traced to the end of the 5th century and the beginning of the 4th century BC. It was found by accident in two parts – in 1925 and 1935 in a mound grave in the locality called Gladno pole. It consists of two silver phiales (shallow, wide boss-centred cups, i.e. with a bulging central umbo) with relief ornaments, a silver goblet (a bowl-shaped drinking vessel without handles) with engraved and gilded lotus petals, a silver neckpiece consisting of five fibulas and a knitted cordon, decorated with human heads, rosettes and palmettes, three silver jugs with cannelures (grooves running lengthwise on the surface of a cylinder, column, etc.) and horse armour silver ornaments.
